Champaign County Association of REALTORS® Association Executive Linda Green was recognized for longstanding service to the real estate community with a top state association award on Thursday.
Green, who has been with the Champaign County association since 1978, was named the recipient of the Margery Shinners Rhino Award, which is given annually to association executives who symbolize strength, leadership and loyalty to the real estate profession.
The presentation was made at the annual Association Executives Workshop held by Illinois REALTORS® in Champaign.
Illinois REALTORS® CEO Gary L. Clayton presented the award. He noted how many leaders the Champaign association has provided at the state and national levels during Green’s tenure.
The Rhino award is named after former Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® CEO Margery Shinners, who died two years ago. The award bears her name in recognition of her commitment to the industry and mentorship of AEs.
Last year’s recipient was Deb Frazier, CEO of the REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois. (See other recipients here.)
