During November, the Egyptian Board of REALTORS® set up 14 collection points in local REALTOR® offices to benefit 16 local food pantries in southern Illinois.
While the food collection officially ended Nov. 21 so deliveries could be made to the corresponding 
pantries before Thanksgiving, some REALTORS® continue to collect food. Here is a list of REALTOR® offices used for collections, with the charity they served in parentheses:
- All in One Real Estate Co. of Harrisburg (Christian Community Compassion of Harrisburg)
- Coldwell Banker Allen & Geary (CCBA of Centralia)
- Coldwell Banker Associated of Mt. Vernon (Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon)
- Farmer & Co. Real Estate in Metropolis (Hope Unlimited of Metropolis)
- Lincoln Real Estate of Johnston City (JC Manna Mission of Johnston City)
- Linda Lence Real Estate of Anna (Bethany Village of Anna)
- Midwest Real Estate of Vienna (First Baptist Church of Vienna)
- Property with TLC of Herrin (House of Hope in Herrin)
- Real Living McCollum Real Estate of Benton (Benton Ministerial Alliance of Benton)
- Real Living McCollum Real Estate of West Frankfort (Crosswalk Community Action Agency of West Frankfort)
- Realty Central of Carbondale (Good Samaritan of Carbondale and Murphysboro)
- RE/MAX Above & Beyond of Marion (The Promise of Marion and The Lighthouse of Marion)
- Shamrock Real Estate of Pinckneyville (The Least of Our Brethren in Pinckneyville) and
- Somer Real Estate of Salem (Salem Community Activities Center of Salem).
According to Egyptian Association Executive Charay Brewer, this is the first year the association put together this kind of project. She said since Egyptian spans 27 counties, having multiple collection points and charities encouraged participation.
“Having a variety of donation sites helped us get more people involved, and it helped donors to know where their food would go and who it would benefit,” said Brewer.
Egyptian officers include: President Ayn Bartok of Harrisburg, President-Elect Marianne James of Marion, Secretary-Treasurer Teresa Camarato of Herrin and Association Executive Charay Brewer of Marion.
