Illinois REALTORS® made their first round of Capitol Hill visits on Tuesday at the Hart Senate Office Building where they discussed real estate with Illinois Sens. Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth.
The meetings kick off sit-downs with every one of the 20 federally elected officials serving in Washington, D.C. The meetings are arranged so the lawmakers know where REALTORS® stand on the issues. They also allow REALTORS® to share market updates.
Topics covered during the meeting on Tuesday ranged from the possibility of building a third airport in the Chicago area to a proposed infrastructure bill.
The meetings are part of the annual Midyear Legislative Meetings and Expo held in Washington.
