Longtime Illinois REALTOR® Jean Crosby was honored with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of REALTORS® on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

She was one of two recipients of the award this year. Cynthia Shelton of Orlando, Fla., was also honored. Both recipients will be featured at a ceremony at the NAR convention in San Diego in November.

Crosby, CRB, CRS, GRI, was IAR president in 1999, and has played an important leadership role in her local and state organizations. She also served as Illinois Real Estate Commissioner where she played a role in the creation of the Real Estate License Act and she was the 2014 national president for the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers.

Crosby has served on the board of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®, the Rockford Area REALTORS® and has served on the NAR Finance Committee.
