Numerous members of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) helped put the finishing touches on the Born Learning Trail at the Urbana Early Childhood School in mid-August.

The trail is part of a joint effort between CCAR and the United Way of Champaign County, and the installation of the trail completed CCAR President Liz McDonald’s charity initiative. Interactive trail signs and paint supplies were purchased by the United Way while CCAR volunteers painted the sidewalks to coordinate with the signs.

REALTOR® members who helped with the painting included: Jayme Ahlden Fay, Government Affairs Chairperson (RE/MAX Realty Associates in Champaign), Jeffrey Barkstall, past CCAR president (Century 21 Heartland Realty); Christina Hawn (RE/MAX Realty Associates); Laura Heiser, CCAR Board of Directors (RE/MAX Realty Associates); Liz McDonald (the McDonald Group); Mariya Vandivort, member services involvement group chairperson (Around CU Real Estate Co.); Judy Vasey, public relations working group chairperson (Keller Williams The Real Estate Center of Illinois); and Nick Ward, Young Professionals Network chairperson (Joel Ward Homes). Several affiliate members helped, too.

In addition to McDonald, the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® is led by CEO Linda Green, President-elect Stefanie Pratt (Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group in Champaign); Secretary-Treasurer P.J. Trautman (Champaign County Realty in Champaign); and Immediate Past President Julie Roth (Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group). They represent about 500 members and their office is based in Savoy.
