Support REALTOR®, St. Clair County Commissioner Fred Boch of O’Fallon, state Sen. Andy Manar of Bunker Hill, state Sen. Tom Rooney of Palatine and challenger for state representative Herman Senor of Springfield on Nov. 6.
All four candidates have been identified as REALTOR® Champions by RPAC Trustees because they back policies promoting economic growth and lower taxes and are considered pro-businesses and pro-private property rights. Illinois REALTORS® encourages members who live in their districts to vote for these candidates. Read about these candidates and others here.
In addition, Manar, Rooney and Senor have received independent expenditure support from the Illinois REALTORS® Fund. A combination of campaign mail, live phone calls, automated phone calls and digital advertising has been used to encourage registered voters to support them. These ads have been designed and distributed without any coordination with the candidates or the candidates’ campaigns.
Boch became a REALTOR® in 2011. He is a broker for Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors in O’Fallon. He represents constituents of St. Clair County District 23.
Manar was first elected state senator for the 48th District in 2012 and was reelected in 2014. He is on the following committees: Agriculture; Appropriations I (Vice-Chairperson); Appropriations II (Chairperson); Committee of the Whole; Education; Executive Appointments (Vice-Chairperson); Labor; Special Committee: Oversight Medicaid Management Care; Subcommittee on Special Issues (Education). Prior to becoming a senator, Manar was elected to the Macoupin County Board, where he served as chair.
Rooney has been state senator for the 27th District since he was appointed in September 2016 to finish the term of Sen. Matt Murphy. Prior to becoming a senator, Rooney was the mayor of Rolling Meadows. As senator, he currently serves on the following committees: Committee of the Whole; Higher Education (Minority Spokesperson); Appropriations II; Telecommunications & Information Technology; Government Reform; Licensed Activities and Pensions; Subcommittee on Special Issues (local government); and Gaming.
While campaigning as a candidate for the 96th District of the Illinois House of Representatives, Senor continues to serve as Springfield’s Ward 2 alderman. He works as an employee of the Illinois Department of Transportation. He’s been a Springfield alderman for three years.
