In November, the Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Elmhurst, Hinsdale and Wheaton offices of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group delivered more than 500 coats to the DuPage Pads office in Wheaton to help the less fortunate.

This is the second year the REALTORS® in these communities have conducted coat drives to benefit DuPage Pads, a non-profit organization that helps DuPage County residents with housing, support services and employment support.  In addition to the coats, the REALTORS® also collected gently used scarves, hats and gloves for the local charity.

“During the coat drive, advertised by a banner hanging outside our Glen Ellyn office, a homeless member of our community inquired whether or not he might get a coat that would fit him and keep him warm through the winter,” said REALTOR® Pamela Trinco, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group in Glen Ellyn. “Our administrative professionals jumped to the task and worked the donation bags to find him a coat that not only fit and was warm, but one that he was thrilled to have. Now THAT is what service to others is all about.”

Michael Parent, Glen Ellyn and Naperville managing broker, said, “We want to thank everyone who donated items to this coat drive! Our agents reached out to their clients and the community at large and they responded so generously.”

“As we head into the colder months of the year, it’s not hard to imagine what a warm coat or gloves could mean to someone who doesn’t have them,” said Jim Ziltz, Wheaton managing broker. “We are grateful to everyone that supported this activity.”

“We greatly appreciate the support that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group has provided to help keep our individuals and families warm this winter,” said DuPage Pads President and CEO Carol Simler.
