How to earn an Illinois real estate broker license

Take pre-license courses: Complete 90 credit hours: Broker Pre-License Topics (75-hours) and Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles (15-hours, interactive).

State and National Exam:  After you’ve completed your coursework, review the Illinois Real Estate Examination Program Candidate Handbook and register for the state and national licensing exam.

Sponsorship and Application: You will need a managing broker to sponsor you before you may submit an application for license to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

License Renewal
