Whether trying to market themselves to future customers or enhancing their own image, REALTORS® will need to use video to be successful said Marki Lemons Ryhal and Carrie Bey-Little at the first event of the 2017 Capitol Conference & Lobby Day event Monday afternoon.

REALTORS® gathered at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield — a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel to listen to Ryhal and Bey-Little share ideas for using video effectively, titled “How to Make Yourself Famous, Become your Local Celebrity.”

“I believe all REALTORS® should use video because it can be repurposed more easily than other forms of social media,” said Ryhal, who spoke about Facebook Live, must-have video tools and other forms of social media.

Their discussion preceded another discussion “Be a Media Darling in Your Local Community,” by Illinois REALTORS® Vice President of Communications Jon Broadbooks and CAR Director of Marketing & Communications Jessica Kern.

The session concluded with REALTORS® volunteering to make their own video.
